A Weird Wish

If I can have one wish, my wish is to go back in time. "WHAT?!?!" or "Huh..?" would be the most expected reaction. I mean people are always taught to look forward, to look ahead in life. Yet here I am wishing to turn time back to the early 20th century or even earlier. And of course I don't want to be here in Singapore when everything is in a very kampong style. I want to be in Europe with all the horse-drawn carriages and steam-engine trains. Something like the period of the kids in the Chronicles of Narnia 1 & 2. The plaited-patterened coats, people wearing hats, square luggages, boys wearing suspenders with their dress shoes while girls were dressed in pretty frocks and mary-janes (or so I supposed). There were no such thing so basic in our everday lives as plastic or zips. There were buttons, buckles, padlocks, catches and yet everything was held in place without zips! If only I were born just 1 generation earlier, and in Europe...I could only dream. Then again, there might be a huge uproar in terms of politics (or so I suppose again) as countries were fighting and struggling to stand out or just stand up. Very obviously, the world has changed tremendously especially in the last decade. And we can only be expecting more revolutionary changes in time to come.

The one most logical way for me to go back in time is through a time machine. The idea of the time machine has been long thought of. Just that it is the most impractical way to travel through time. For one to travel through time, according to scientific researches, one needs to travel at the speed of light. How fast is the speed of light? 300 000 000 metres per second. A simple analogy would be this: Imagine standing at one end of your school hall in complete darkness. Put an object at the other end of the hall. Then flick on the switch of one light on the same end that you are standing at and almost immediately, you can see the object at the other end. Now this is how fast the speed of light is. Still can't picture it? Imagine yourself as a ray of light, the minute the switch is flicked on, you have to run to the object positioned at the other end of the hall in how long? Almost immediately. That's how fast light travels. According to more scientific research, one will never be able to reach the speed of light. Even if you had managed to do so, light will somehow always be ahead of you, as in still be faster than you and so you will NEVER be able to catch up with light. And so the time machine will never work.

Currently what I can do is to read novels and watch films in these kind of olden times setting. It's the best I can get to the real thing. Anyway, this post is not a record of daily events. In fact, I am just penning down my thoughts because I need somewhere to organise them properly rather then having so many ideas floating around in my head most randomly. With that I still need to conclude that I will never, for now, be able to travel back in time.

Hairstyle Revamp

*Grinning non-stop* I CAN SPORT A BOB!!!! I have always wanted to cut my hair in that style, but I never dared to. Until last Thursday when suddenly, two-thirds of me wanted to cut while the other one-third of me objected but I still went to cut anyway. And I can carry a bob, so well that I don't think anyone else in school can. *Laughs myself silly*.

Anyway, during assemly today while listening to the announcements, I suddenly saw a bunch of heads turned back, staring in my direction (I was seated at the back of my class, behind all the guys that is). And yar those heads belonged to guys only. Without my glasses, I am as good as half-blind, but I somehow felt that they were staring at me. And I saw one threw his head back laughing wildly. I suspected they were staring at me, in mockery!!!

Later in class, Dalton yelled (in a non-offensive way) at me, "WHY YOU CUT HAIR?!?!" And I found out that they were staring at me! But Dalton assured me that it's not bad. Can I buy that?

For the whole day, so many people went, you cut your hair. But nobody said it didn't suit me. In fact I think everyone's gotten used to it already.

.+.PLUS POINT.+. : And I managed to get his attention with my new haircut LIKE TWICE!!!! *dies of happiness* This is my PARADISE!!!!!

"Reincarnation"

Alright. I know I am guilty of neglecting my bloggie for such a long long time. Firstly my amath qualifying test is over donkey years ago. Basically I breezed over it, but things are not as smooth as they should perpetually be. Arghh.. forget about this horrible suject..

I can't abandon this ol' bloggie cause I've made myself figure out all those sense-less letterings just to change this skin to my liking. I still lack a tag board, so no one can tag me. I can tag you, you can't tag me, but I can still tag you. TAG!!! YOU'RE IT!!!! Okay this is rubbish.

I have 2 bloggies to fill now. Silly me, forgetting about this lovely ol' blog I spent so much time modifying. And I went to create another blog in MY SPACE from msn. But that one looks a lot more fun compared to this. Sheesh, perhaps this blog should be called "Lonely Planet".

Christmas eve.....

Tomorow's already christmas eve but I don't have that exciting christmas spirit in me. Since the beginning of this year, I have been looking forward to christmas but now that it's here, I don't feel like tomorrow's anything special day. Christmas day to me means: 8 more days till school, heh heh heh *smirking*. And thinking about next year, my greatest fear comes to mind. AMATHS QUALIFYING TEST!!! *scccrrreams* And now this just-for-the-time-being tuition teacher gives me tonnes of practices. Although he is now cutting down cos i am not being a good girl by doing it, I still wont finish it. *tsk tsk* Whatever you ppl say lar, more practice is good for me...but I tell you. I am like an old rusty bike that hasn't been on track for years! So right now i just gotta start slow if not i might just explode!!!

Exhilarating News

I am soooo EXCITED!!!! I just found 50 bucks in my drawer which I tucked away months ago. Whoopee!!! I intend to use it to buy myself a pair of sneakers!! Already I have a few pairs in mind (of course I can only afford one pair). One of them I saw was a light pink kappa sneakers with pastel green patterns on it, pretty isn't it? Actually I was thinking of getting a black converse one but I heard that converse only sells ONE SHOE!!! NOT EVEN A PAIR!!! So i don't know if I should ask the salesperson whether it comes in a pair cause I am afraid that she will think I am crazzzeeee. Like who sells shoes one at a time?!?! But I have an appointment to go down to orchard road to check out the converse sales there and I am determined to GET ONE BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!! mUaHaHaHa!!!!

Welcome to my life

Everyday of my life is not what you think. I on the outside may seem very fortunate, but in fact you are wrong. As to why I may seem so fortunate, I don't know. But I do know one thing - that I may have to finish this phrase of my life alone, with no one to share my joy and misery with. If this is my life planned ahead for me, then I shall walk on, no turning back. Walk on until the end.
